12. The rock structures located on this site were the home
of Betor Dry Goods. They were last used in the 1940's as the Cotton Club
Saloon and Dance Hall.
The fenced field across the road south
of these structures was once the site of the Marysville
baseball field and stands. Marysville baseball teams
were considered among the best in the Northwest and
provided much entertainment and notoriety for the community.
Hearsay has it that these early contests were made more
interesting by the presence of a keg of beer in the
third base coaching box.
